Horizon of Innovation

Updated September 6, 20191 min read

The project Horizon is assigned a value of 1, 2, or 3 based on selections for the "Describe the Market" and "Describe the Technology Required" questions in the project overview.

When combining horizons, the higher value takes precedence. For example, selecting Horizon 1 and Horizon 2 results in an overall Horizon 2 rating; selecting Horizon 1 and Horizon 3 yields Horizon 3.

Horizon 1

  • Describe the Market: Existing market that we currently serve
  • Describe the Technology Required: Existing technology that we currently use/deploy

Horizon 2

  • Describe the Market: Existing market that we do not serve
  • Describe the Technology Required: Existing technology that we do not currently use/deploy

Horizon 3

  • Describe the Market: New market
  • Describe the Technology Required: New technology
